Investments

Business immigration
It is applicable to citizens of all countries except those on the U.S. sanctions list. Business immigration or obtaining a residence permit on the basis of entrepreneurial activity or work is accessible to all citizens over 21 years old and is divided into 3 most basic subspecies:
- obtaining a residence permit on the basis of an invitation from a company where the company acts as a guarantor and sponsor of your permission to stay in the United States. The company must be registered in the United States, pay taxes and conduct business.
- obtaining a residence permit as a displaced employee. In this case, the company and the employee must meet a number of criteria. A company should not be new or a startup. It must be a subsidiary, representative office or branch of a non-resident company. The employee can only be relocated after 1 year from the start of work in the main company and must show excellent professional skills, must have experience in a managerial position and company development skills.
- obtaining a residence permit on the basis of investment in a newly created company. A residence permit can be issued either after the full amount has been invested, or when the investor is in the process of investing. The amount of investment must be at least 1 million US dollars or can be reduced to 500,000 US dollars in a specially designated area. Also, a prerequisite is the creation of a new company of 10 jobs for qualified employees.
The stages are:
- creation of a company or branch;
- obtaining permission to employ a foreign employee;
- registration of an employee in the company or transfer from the parent company;
- visa type L1, L1A / B issuance.
The minimum validity of visa L1 is 1 year, the maximum is 5 years. The period for which the visa will be issued depends on the company and its turnover. After obtaining a visa of category L1, an application for issuing a green card can be submitted. Getting a green card not only has its advantages but imposes special obligations, such as filing tax reports.
If you do not have the goal of being a full-fledged American citizen, but you would like to stay in the territory for a certain amount of time, then you should pay attention to E-1 visas, which are easier to obtain, but they, in turn, do not give the right to obtain a permanent visa residency and need to be constantly renewed.
