History
PPF banka was founded in 1992 under the trade name ROYAL BANKA CS, a.s. In 1995, the capital city of Prague became the majority shareholder of the Bank, and the Bank was renamed into První městská banka, a.s. (JSC "First City Bank"). In 2002, there was a change in the majority shareholder of the Bank, and Česká pojišťovna a.s. that is a member of the financial group PPF became a strategic investor. In 2003, the Bank was fully integrated into the PPF Group and in 2004 obtained new name that is PPF banka a.s.
