Kazakhstan and Cyprus signed an agreement on avoidance of double taxation

First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulidis signed the Convention between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Cyprus on avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion concerning taxes on income.

According to the financial department of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this document will prevent double taxation between Kazakhstan and Cyprus. Also, the Convention will strengthen the cooperation of the tax services of both countries by exchanging information on all types of taxes.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also confirmed the signing of the Convention. The press release of the department says that the previously certified document will allow both countries to carry out mutual control over work with tax data, particularities of tax relief, as well as relax the requirements for companies and the resident of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the payment of duties and taxes.
