Date added: 23.04.2020The Luxembourg Tax Office is delaying the payment of VAT for individuals and legal entities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The authorities published an instruction explaining who can use this relief and in what way it can be obtained.
In particular, individuals, entrepreneurs or organizations that have been directly affected by the pandemic can count on a delay. In addition, this privilege extends to companies that would like to take measures taken by government bodies to combat the spread of COVID-19.
To obtain tax relief, you should prepare an application and send it to the government of Luxembourg. This can be done via an operator, a business manager, or through an authorized representative. To date, Luxembourg has not yet specified the duration of the relief. It is expected that the reception and processing of requests will occur throughout the whole period of the COVID-19 epidemic.
