It will be possible to pay for the services of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) by means of crypto-currencies. What will be the results of such conduct?
«Our organization is engaged in studying and considering the possibility of using bitcoins and other cryptocurrency. The foregoing serves as a clear characteristic of us as an innovator and a leader in the tourism industry», states Peter Hedorfer, CEO of the German National Tourist Board.
In order to ensure high speed, efficiency, transparency and security of financial transfers, the Board intends to use blockchain technology for the system of international payments and other services related to finance.
Since the popularity of cryptocurrency is increasingly growing, and there are certain proposals and measures to regulate cryptocurrency transactions being introduced in many countries, the GNTB considers the use of cryptocurrency as a means of payment to be quite successful and convenient option for development and popularization of its strategy and products/facilities so that Germany is positioned as an attractive tourist region worldwide.
Bear in mind that the Ministry of Finance of Germany signed a regulatory act on the recognition of bitcoin as a means of payment in late February.
