The company's predecessor bank was founded in 1990 under the name Daewoo Bank Magyarország Rt. In July 2002, the Korean Development Bank purchased Daewoo Securiti, so the Hungarian subsidiary also received the name of its new parent company (Korea Development Bank). In April 2004, KDB invested $20,000,000 in the company. In April 2005, the bank completed investment services, and this part of its client base was transferred to the Buda-Kaisa Brokerage House.
