The government of Belgium has adopted new deadlines for filing declarationsThe government of the Kingdom of Belgium has approved a new deadline for filing declarations for those who fall under the mandatory declaring. In early May, the Ministry of Finance confirmed that the start of filing documents on the financial and tax activities of companies in Belgium began on May 3.

By an additional order, the government clarified the dates for all entrepreneurs in the country, based on their residence rule. For residents of the country, the application will start from May 21 and will last until the end of June.

Later, the paper returns will be given with the help of the Tax-on-web service. For citizens and agents, the deadline will be extended until July 11, and for contractors and company representatives - until October 24.

For non-residents, the following terms apply:

  • Return of documentation from control authorities - until November 7, 2019;
  • Time of filing a declaration for individuals and counterparties - until December 5, 2019.

The government also assumes that in case of delays, it plans to extend the deadlines, but no later than 5-7 calendar days in December of the current year. Otherwise, the owners of the companies will have to independently solve issues on the submission of tax documentation in a personalized manner.
